Educated at Monmouth School (1964-71) and at Leeds University. Married with two sons and a daughter who were educated at Haberdashers’ Monmouth Schools.  Lives in Chepstow with his wife who recently retired as a teacher at Monmouth School. Chartered accountant and retired KPMG partner. Recently director of a publicly quoted technology company and currently director of a number of companies in the technology, finance and charitable sectors. Interests include rugby, football, cricket, golf and skiing. Appointed 2000.
